Nubian Goats

Dairy Goats

I love my dairy goats.  They're so friendly, just like dogs that live in the barn.  I grew up showing my pet Nubian dairy goat wethers (neutered males) in 4-H pack and harness classes.  I was often found trail riding my horse with my goats, Buddy and Toby following along behind..  It was like the Pied Piper!

When I moved to Indiana, I quickly added goats to the farm and enjoy using the milk in my soaps, cooking, and cheesemaking adventures.

I breed for late summer kids (June) so that I'm done with work for the summer and home to assist with the birth if needed and bond with the kids.  My herd is closed and tested free of CAE and CL.

For 2024 I've bred Peppermint, Tootsie, and Dottie.  Their kids will be up for sale once they are old enough.  They are being bred to registered studs, so the kids will be able to be registered as Nubians.  Watch my farm page on Facebook for updates!

I also sell their milk fresh and frozen from my farm.  It will not be pasteurized, so it will not be sold labeled for human consumption but is great for soap making and feeding orphaned baby animals.

Clark Bar

LaMancha x Alpine Wether

Clark is my largest and oldest goat.  He's nearly as big as Thunder the pony and he's just as nosy! He's known for pushing as hard as he can against doors until they open so that he can come check out what's happening!

Peppermint Patty

Registered Nubian Doe

Peppermint is sweet and shy and loves to follow me around while I work around the farm.  She's the mother of Tootsie, Dottie, and Carmella.  Her favorite snack is apple wafers, but she'll readily try just about anything that fits in her mouth!

Tootsie Pop

Nubian Doe

Tootsie Pop was born here on the farm in 2021 and is Dottie's twin sister.  She's got personality for miles and is brave in new situations.  She's the least likely of the girls to voice her displeasure too.  Her favorite snack is animal crackers.

Candy Dots

Nubian Doe

Candy Dots ("Dottie") was born here on the farm in 2021 and is Tootsie's twin sister.  She's gorgeous and she knows it.  She takes her lead from the other goats and is much more suspicious of me than they are.  Despite her flightiness, we love her.  Her favorite snack is raisins.

Carmella Koala

Nubian Doe

Carmella Koala ("Ella") was born here on the farm in 2022.  She was a singleton, which left me lots of milk!

She's too young to have decided on a favorite snack, but she definitely likes trying new things and never turns down an animal cracker!

Rainbow Bridge

These goats lived on the farm and are loved deeply still.

Cookie Bar

LaMancha Doe

Cookie was my 1st goat that wasn't a purebred Nubian.  She adored attention (and treats) and would happily follow me around all day.  She was so nosy and would tip over my toolbox whenever it was in reach!  One of her favorite snacks was corn husks.

Candy Bar

LaMancha x Alpine Doe

Candy was my "goat in a coat."  She's Cookie's daughter and a sweet girl who definitely wished she lived in Florida, so she wore a coat all winter.  She loved cookies and if you're not watching she'd sneak one right out of your pocket!
